Sri Lanka is partially open for tourism – Ensuring safety!

Sri Lanka decided to open its borders to foreign travellers in 2021. Visitors from most countries were allowed to visit Sri Lanka under a particular arrangement and a considerable amount of travellers got the opportunity to explore this tropical island nation since then. Hotels like Turyaa Kalutara Hotel also started accepting travellers, making sure safety and hygiene were safeguarded at all times.

However, considering the above, travellers with a travel history within the immediate past two weeks to India, Namibia, South Africa, and a few other countries are not yet allowed to visit Sri Lanka. Things to do in Kalutara and other tourist-friendly destinations also have been restricted depending on the varying situations. Sri Lanka is in the process of vaccinating the local community now and will see good progress of the same before 2021 ends.
