As Sri Lanka looks to get its tourism industry back on track, the country is hoping to attract one million travellers by the end of the year; this was brought into the spotlight on the ETHospitalityWorld website on 02nd September 2022 which also highlighted that at the time, India was still the leading source market for the island nation. It is expected that if the arrivals figure is reached, the revenue generated will be around USD 1.8 billion which will offer a significant boost to the local economy too.
To further attract travellers from certain countries including India, special five-year multiple-entry tourist visas are also being offered in Sri Lanka. Holiday packages are additionally on hand from trusted tour operators such as NKAR Travel House that feature the best of the island from the coast to the hill country and more.
