Held this month, the Sydney Rare Book Fair gave collectors a unique opportunity to find and purchase a range of rare publications. The event took place from 1st to 2nd November 2019 at the Sydney University Maclaurin Hall; this venue which can be found within easy reach of a hotel in Parramatta, Sydney including the likes of PARKROYAL Parramatta, was once the home of the Fisher Library.
The Sydney Rare Book Fair featured a number of local and international exhibitors who not only showcased books but manuscripts, antiquarian prints, maps, children’s publications, art, ephemera and militaria too. Among the exhibitors’ present were Rare Illustrated Books, Orchard Books, Hordern House Rare Books, The Antique Bookshop & Curios and Asia Bookroom. This book fair was held in conjunction with Sydney Rare Book Week that ran from 27th October to 2nd November 2019 at various venues around the city.
