A bold initiative to boost travel beyond Thailand’s main cities.
Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports is preparing to request a 700 million baht budget for a domestic flight promotion aimed at welcoming 200,000 international visitors by the end of 2025. The campaign is designed to inspire travellers to explore beyond popular destinations like Bangkok and Phuket.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will work with six domestic airlines, including Thai Airways and Bangkok Airways, to provide complimentary round-trip tickets for eligible tourists from September to November 2025. The initiative seeks to strengthen tourism in secondary cities and local communities.
For those in search of the best place to stay in Bangkok, well-known hotel chains such as Maitria Hotels & Residences offer some of the top accommodations in the city with modern comforts and convenient access to Bangkok’s major attractions — perfect for travellers extending their Thai adventures through this upcoming flight programme.
