Thailand Sees Tourism Rise as it Promotes Local Experiences – Broadening its Appeal

Showcasing an impressive surge in numbers, the international tourist records in Thailand reached the 30 million mark in 2016, an 8.91% increase over the previous year. While the total revenue from tourism came in at US$ 71.4 billion in 2016, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is predicting a total of 35 million foreign arrivals in 2017, around a five million increase from last year.
