After successful runs in both Sydney and Melbourne, the immensely popular musical, The Book of Mormon is set to make its way to Adelaide and Brisbane as well. In a recent news item published on Australian news site ABC, it was revealed that the musical was expected to arrive next year in Adelaide; a promotion campaign is already underway including bus stop adverts with the slogan, “The Mormons are Coming!”.
Having already played to packed audiences in Australia, The Book of Mormon musical will undoubtedly attract large crowds in South Australia’s capital. The shows will be hosted at the Adelaide Festival Centre and out of state visitors and foreign tourists can look to stay at one of the many nearby apartment hotels in Adelaide including the likes of Oaks Embassy. Created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park fame, this award-winning musical was first performed on Broadway in 2011 and tells the tale of two Mormon missionaries who travel to Uganda.
