Last month saw the opening of the much awaited Tube Trek Water Park in Chiang Mai, which was billed as Northern Thailand’s first ever water park. This modern theme park is expected to attract around 3,000 visitors on a daily basis including both locals and foreign tourists. The site can be easily reached by those staying at a Chiang Mai hotel or resort in the region such as Anantara Chiang Mai Resort. Located close to Bo Sang Village, Tube Trek Water Park is a joint project between Thailand and China and was constructed at a cost of approximately 500 million baht. Featuring a futuristic theme, the park had a grand opening celebration and its many water-based rides, slides and other family friendly attractions are set to draw increasing numbers over the coming months.
