Last month saw the conclusion of the annual Isaac Christmas Lights Competition which featured towns of the Isaac region in Queensland. This annual competition was open free of charge to residents and business owners who took up the challenge to come up with the most beautiful display of Christmas lights. The competition which drew both locals and foreign visitors was one that was enjoyed by young and old alike.
Amongst the areas where displays were put up were Hannah Crescent in Dysart, Monash Court in Clermont, Macarthur Street in Moranbah and Clarence Baker Drive in Middlemount; service apartments located close by the likes of Oaks Middlemount made ideal bases from which to see the different competition entries. As per the norm, prize money was handed to the winning Christmas lights displays under three categories, namely ‘Best Business’, ‘Best Residential’ and ‘People’s Choice’.
