The Maldives on the Green Travel List of Italy – Italian Flights Also Resume

Providing a boost for tourism, the Maldives was moved to Italy’s green list for travel on 22nd September last year, paving the way for more visitors to this South Asian nation; following the addition to this list, those who returned to Italy from the Maldives were no longer required to spend 10 days in quarantine on arrival. Subsequently, Italian airlines also began to recommence operations; this included Neos which resumed flights from Milan and Rome in Italy to the Maldives in October 2021.

Italy was amongst the main tourism markets in the Maldives before the pandemic hit and it will be hoped that there will be an increase in arrivals this year. Apart from staying at a safe private island resort like Hard Rock Hotel Maldives, tourists have much to look forward to as well; such travellers can make use of an Emboodhoo Lagoon area guide and discover all that’s in store be it water sports, dining, shopping or cultural discoveries.
