Held from 19th to 22nd October 2017, the CJ Cup brought all the excitement of professional golfing to Korea’s Nine Bridges Golf Club on Jeju Island. Accommodation for the contestants was provided by Somerset Jeju Shinhwa World, the official hotel partner located within the newly opened integrated resort and theme park, Jeju Shinhwa World. The CJ Cup which was the first PGA Tour event to be held in Korea was won by 2017 PGA Championship winner, American Justin Thomas who beat Marc Leishman from Australia on the second playoff hole. This was the sixth tour win for Justin Thomas during the calendar year which saw him also becoming the FedEx Cup champion. Contestants had the chance of playing at the historic Nine Bridges Golf Club which has the distinction of being the first golf course in Korea to be ranked as one of the top 100 courses in the world.
