During the 1970s, Tioman Island was selected by TIME Magazine as being one of the world’s most beautiful islands. Fast-forward many decades ahead and the landmass is still one of the most pristine tropical locales in the region and the planet.
The Tioman Surfestival concerns with all-things adventurous that Tioman has to offer, and encompasses both land-based as well as sea-based activities. In addition to covering activities such as rock-climbing and Stand-Up Paddle-boarding, which are offered at almost any hotel Tioman Island has to offer such as Berjaya Tioman Resort, and also touched on beach clean-ups and conservation issues.
This festival has been an annual occurrence ever since 2010, and with every incarnation, the Tioman Surfestival envelops the island in an entertaining yet educational celebration that lasts for three days. Fun and games, live-music, and workshops are all part of the event!
