Turks and Caicos Music and Cultural Festival – Enjoy the Tunes while Gaining an Insight into Local Culture

The Turks and Caicos Music and Cultural Festival is an earmarked event on most calendars with patrons booking luxury resorts in the Caribbean in the hopes of partaking in its festivities. In general, however, the Festival is held annually during late July and early August for a week and hosts numerous artists from a variety of genres ranging from hip hop to Gospel music. The two islands themselves are known for ‘Ripsaw Music’ and the Festival is an initiative by the Government to protect and preserve this genre while also encouraging the enjoyment of other genres of music. The Festival also includes a Miss Turks and Caicos beauty pageant as well as numerous other activities.
