Vietnam has launched a series of promotional campaigns in a bid to highlight the country as an ideal destination for a post-COVID-19 getaway. As part of its tourism reopening strategy, the country ran a special television commercial on CNN beginning from October. Commissioned by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, it showcased some of the key highlights and destinations and featured the tagline, “When you’re ready to travel again, why not Vietnam?”.
Additional initiatives included the launching of a series of giveaways on social media platforms which began in November including free airt tickets and paid for holidays. It is hoped that the country’s noteworthy safety record in dealing with the pandemic and diverse experiences on offer will attract tourists in 2021. Be it at Hanoi apartments or Hoi An hotel and resort options the likes of Anantara Hoi An Resort, travellers have a variety of accommodation options to choose from as well.
