Watch the Trooping of the Colours in Bangkok

The Trooping of the Colours was recently held in Bangkok, Thailand on the 1st December 2015 at the Royal Plaza. This event is modelled after the popular British Army’s Trooping of the Colours ceremony and was held as a preceding show to honour Thailand’s King’s birthday anniversary that fell on 5th December. The colourful pageant saw members of the three armed forces, the Royal Thai Army, the Royal Thai Navy and the Royal Thai Air Force joining together with the royal guards donning in spectacular uniforms based on their regimens with plumed hats declaring their oath of allegiance to the King and state and then marching in unison before the King and Queen and the members of the Royal Family. Locals from outskirts arrived in Bangkok to attend the event while taking a break from their work and spending a short holiday in Bangkok city hotels such as AVANI Atrium Bangkok and many other luxury accommodations.
