Tourism acted as a key pillar to strengthen the economies of many Southern African countries including Zambia. But, due to the COVID–19 pandemic, all these economies faced major failure as the entire tourism industry collapsed in a blink of an eye. Many hotels and resorts had to close their operations, and this caused many employees to lose their jobs.
However, one of the leading tour agencies in Zambia recently stated that with the COVID – 19 vaccine coming up, things will see a better improvement and Zambia will then be able to expect tourist arrivals again. Although a lot more work have to be done in terms of bringing tourists back, this is indeed good news to every Livingstone hotel the likes of Royal Livingstone Hotel by Anantara who are waiting to greet international tourists with love.
