Many zoos and wildlife parks in Australia have been live-streaming videos of their animal residents and it has proved to be a big hit amongst viewers during lockdown restrictions. One example was the Melbourne Zoo which offered 24/7 live streams of animals like snow leopards, penguins and lions; the zoo which is within easy reach of Avani Melbourne Box Hill Residences,is expected to open this month and those staying at such a Box Hill hotel can visit and see these animals in person.
As recently reported online by news site Aljazeera, local zoos and wildlife parks have had to keep the animals occupied during the lockdown period as well since they are normally used to crowds and attention. Zookeepers and staff have been continuing with the shows as per the usual schedule even though there is no audience so as to not break the daily routine which the animals are used to.
