Dubai has launched a five-year multiple-entry visa aimed at facilitating travel between India and the Gulf region. Under this visa category, travellers can visit the UAE multiple times over five years, with a maximum stay of 180 days per year, totalling 900 days within the period. Issued within just 48 hours, the visa allows for a 90-day initial stay, extendable once for another 90 days, with a yearly limit of 180 days, as outlined by Vineet Kumar, Associate at SKV Law Offices.
This move comes in response to the surge in Indian visitors to Dubai in 2023, which exceeded figures from the previous year, marking a 25% growth. With 2.46 million overnight visitors from India in 2023, making it the top source market, Dubai aims to further strengthen ties by enhancing travel convenience and fostering sustained economic collaborations and tourism by further promoting popular tourist destinations around the country such as Ras Al Khaimah. Hotels such as the beautiful Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort among others offer splendid accommodation to those who visit.
