First opened in 1870, the Toowoomba Railway Station has remained a bustling hub for trade and travel for a well over a century now. A visit to the station can be a great way to spend an afternoon in Toowoomba. After all, it’s a location that has served as a staple fixture of Toowoomba for so long now. There’s plenty to see and do here as well. Most notably, there’s the Workshops Railway Museum which details the locations long and storied history. What’s more, you’ll find plenty of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity to rest up at.
If you’re staying at one of the many serviced apartments Toowoomba has on offer – for example, the Oaks Toowoomba Hotel – you shouldn’t have a problem reaching the station as it’s only a couple minutes’ drive away.
