Festival Of Lights in Chao Phraya River- November 2014

The most visually spectacular event of the year, Loi Krathong is perhaps the most anticipated festival in Bangkok. Every year, earlier in the week of November the cityscape is illuminated with floating lanterns released in to the river and fireworks. The people of Thailand make a wish before placing the Krathong on the water believing that if the candle continues to burn until as long as the float is visible, the wish will come true. If you wish to catch the festival next year and to really experience it do consider a more floating experience at Anantara Cruises, one of the finest Bangkok cruises.
