Arguably the most eagerly anticipated annual literary event in Sri Lanka, the Galle Literary Festival (GLF) 2018 will took place in January. The event held from 24th to 28th January, 2018 with the leading south coast city of Galle expected to draw many local and foreign visitors. Accommodation, as usual, was in high demand and those planning on attending can consider staying at Cantaloupe Levels which offers easy reach to many things to do in Unawatuna. Sponsored by Fairway Holdings, GLF 2018 hosted a wide range of local and international writers, journalists, architects, historians and more. Among the notable guests, one can look forward to seeing include journalists Rachael Johnson and Justine Picardie, Justice Shiranee Tilakawardane, Nirupama Menon Rao who served as a Foreign Secretary of India, the band Chirkutt from Bangladesh and the famed British actress, Dame Maggie Smith.
