A popular event that featured some of the fastest camels in the Middle East, the Heritage Festival 2016 gave visitors a chance to see just how fast these animals really are. The festival which was held from 19th to 31st March reached its climactic culmination on the last day at the venue which hosted the races, the Al Marmoum Camel Racetrack. Opened free to the public, the Heritage Festival 2016 featured trained camels in their thousands, brought from around the Middle East to compete in these prestigious races that saw the winners bring their owners prestige and cash prizes. Apart from the races, the festival also had events that gave visitors a chance to learn more about local traditions and culture.
