During the months of September and October, in Hong Kong, China takes place the magical looking mid-autumn festival. The festivities are held on the 8th full-moon night for the year. The festival is also called the ‘moon festival’. On this day, it is a tradition for the community and families to come together to celebrate the harvesting season.
There are many carnivals that offer an amazing experience. There is an array of events that are on through the night, the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance is one of the main attractions. In addition, there are entertaining cultural dances, acrobatics, kung fu and craft demonstrations. Not to mention, the lovely lanterns that light up the streets are worth seeing. Enjoy the festival at an elevated level in restaurants in central Hong Kong perhaps the likes of The Murray Hong Kong and enjoy the yummy Chinese delicacies too.
