MICE EXPO 2023 Held in Sri Lanka – Showcasing an Ideal Destination for Events

Sri Lanka recently hosted MICE EXPO 2023 in Colombo to showcase the country as a leading destination in South Asia for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). This B2B event which ran from 13th to 15th March 2023 was inaugurated by the Minister of Tourism and Lands, Harin Fernando and featured 75 local vendors along with 22 exhibitors. It also attracted more than 100 buyers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East and South Asia including India.

Organised by the Sri Lanka Convention Bureau as well as Sri Lankan Airlines, MICE EXPO 2023 featured a fully hosted buyer programme, insightful industry forums, networking sessions and familiarisation tours to locations across the island. While it took place in the commercial capital, Colombo, the country also offers other key destinations to host events; this includes the hill capital, Kandy, where amidst the mountains, one can hold corporate and social functions at a well-placed hotel. Kandy offers such ideal options at properties like Hotel Topaz with versatile venues as well as indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, banquets and more.
