Silversea Cruises, a relatively new cruise ship company has announced, that their luxurious expedition vessel, the ”Silver Discoverer” will be embarking upon a number of inter-island trips, in the Indian Ocean. The operation is scheduled to coincide with the cruise ship season, in and around Seychelles, which generally last from October to April.
Sherine Francis, Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Tourism Board stated, that the addition of the new cruise ship will contribute towards boosting the tourism industry in the islands, especially for suppliers. It was also stated that the ensuing port calls will allow the country to showcase their potential as a premier holiday destination. Which will, in turn, entice visitors to make the return trip to experience all that it has to offer including many a hotel in Seychelles such as Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay Resort & Casino.
