Participate in The Wild Elephant Trail – 04th -12th March 2016

Curiously titled The Wild Elephant Trail, the event consists of running for about 210 km over a period of seven days. It is not essential that you are an expert marathon runner to take part in this event that covers prominent historical sites and wildlife trails in Sri Lanka. People from across the world are welcome to join in this rare form of travel adventure. The race starts at the sacred temple area of Yapahuwa and ends after climbing a significant amount of steps at the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. It is evidently a rejuvenating experience and also the best way to communicate with the people of the land. After engaging in this unique form of vacationing, one can travel to the commercial hub of the country, Sri Lanka. You can relax your weary bones by acquainting yourself with a few Colombo events, some of which will be held at the Colombo Courtyard, an ideal place to end a tour of the country.
