Sri Lanka Wins Folklore Performance Award in Seoul – Another Step in Korea-Sri Lanka Relations

The Sri Lankan contingent performing at the Seoul International Tourism Industry Fair which was held from the 6th to the 9th of June 2019 was able to secure first place as the Best Folklore Performance Award.

Major tourist destinations had a pavilion at the fair where they showcased the destination’s merits and the Sri Lankan pavilion which was organised by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Republic of Korea and the Sri Lanka Tourism Bureau portrayed touristic themes.

Korean tourism to Sri Lanka, which fell sharply after the Easter terror attack may soon rise again thanks to promotion from the industry. Tourists that don’t want to visit the big cities could make use of the Pasikuda hotel offers and stay by the beach at hotels the likes of The Calm Resort & Spa Pasikuda.
