The street food festival is hosted by Fairway Colombo and takes place on the last weekend of each month. Along the streets of Dutch Hospital Precinct, one would come to see several stalls that have been set and revel in the heavenly aroma of food that’s cooking as it fills the air. Certainly, is welcoming! The festival does well to share the taste of flavours from around the world each month. A theme is set up whenever the festival takes place.
The recent festival had the theme ‘street food of the USA and Canada’ which resulted in a huge success and a pretty good turnout. There were food stalls here and there selling exquisitely delicious food and drinks and cocktails too! There was a dessert truck with sweets that simply got you yearning for more! Well-known restaurants like the Dutch Pub and Botanik Rooftop Bistro & Bar were present at the event as well. Furthermore, there is live music all night long and stalls that offer fun games too. if you happen to be lodged in one of the hotels in Colombo, the likes of Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, keep the last weekend for the month to check out what kind of amazing food the street food festival might have to offer next
