The recently concluded awards ceremony of the Thailand International Film Destination Festival 2019 highlighted Thailand as one of the best destinations for moviemaking. This year marked the event’s seventh edition and it promoted the production of international short films in the country. This was done through a competition where young, aspiring filmmakers from a total of 77 countries were given the opportunity to travel to Thailand; they were provided accommodation and a small budget in order to make their short films which also showcased the beauty and diversity of this land.
As part of the Thailand International Film Destination Festival 2019, there were special screenings of films that were shot on location in Thailand. Screenings took place at Paragon Cineplex at Siam Paragon within easy reach of Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort and those who stayed at such a Riverside Bangkok hotel.
