The Maldives has once again been nominated in the Indian Ocean’s Best Spa Destination category for the World Spa Awards 2020. It is a notable achievement that since these spa-related awards began in 2015, this south Asian nation has walked away with this particular award every single year; a win this year too will mark its sixth consecutive triumph. The other nominees in this category are Seychelles and Mauritius.
The country is famed for its wellness getaways which can be enjoyed at a private island resort or luxury hotel Maldives has to offer. Properties the likes of Velassaru Maldives have their own spas featuring a wealth of holistic treatments that draw travellers the world over. The winners of the World Spa Awards are decided via voting by spa consumers and industry professionals; voting for the current set of nominees will close on 30th September and winners will be revealed later in 2020.
