One of the world’s largest water sports trade fairs, boot Düsseldorf recently concluded in Germany and saw the participation of the Maldives. With a focus on a “360° water sports experience”, this year’s event was held from 19th to 27th January and featured a large number of exhibitors; this included those from the Maldives such as Universal Resorts which owns several resorts in the country like Velassaru Maldives that offer a range of water sports options.
boot Düsseldorf 2019 was seen as an excellent venue in which the Maldives could attract more German tourists; these travellers were those eager to not only stay at an island resort or luxury hotel Maldives has to offer, but experience its underwater treasures as well. Diving is one of the key water sports that was promoted in this regard. It is hoped that through such events, more German visitors will be attracted to come to the Maldives for holidays that feature diving tours.
