Travel and Tourism after COVID-19

A majority of travellers check government travel advisories of their target destination, almost daily, to see if their travel plans would follow through as planned. In this age of COVID-19, this anxiety has become the hallmark of travel and tourism. After several months of lockdown, the beautiful Maldives in the Indian Ocean reopened its borders from the 15th of July 2020, welcoming tourists to enjoy some downtime at overwater bungalows Maldives has to offer at properties such as Anantara Veli Maldives Resort.

Travel and tourism have been massive contributors to the economies in South Asia, particularly as a generator of jobs. Therefore, many countries in South Asia, including the Maldives, have implemented strict health practices and other precautions to attract its potential customer base.
