World’s First Underwater Nightclub Re-emerges as a Sub-aquatic Playground

Heralded as the first underwater nightclub in the world, Subsix at PER AQUUM Niyama has been recently transformed into a unique space in which to host a wide range of events. A venue unlike at any other resorts Maldives has to offer, this underwater function space has been designed as a distinctive place to host events that can be personalised including Champagne breakfasts, lunchtime galas and gourmet dinners. Initially launched in 2012, Subsix was redesigned by Poole Associates who have incorporated an ocean theme into the new design providing a one of a kind setting in which to also hold weddings, wine tastings and even special romantic proposals, while weekly events such as a Glow Party and DJ nights provide a party atmosphere for revellers. The other notable feature of Subsix is the fact that the venue has to be reached by way of a speedboat since it lies approximately 500-metres off the shore.
