On the 26th of October 2014, Bangkok Airways launched Phuket-Chiang Mai non-stop service. It will be flying to Udon Thani in Isan from Chiang Mai and also to Yangon and Mandalay in Myanmar. The decision to launch the new routes was taken due to Chiang Mai being one of the most famed tourist destinations in Thailand, luring in hordes of local and foreign tourists. The fact that it is also a leading commercial city in the North has contributed to this decision. Hence now travelling in the region has become even more convenient. There is also an excellent range of hotels in Chiang Mai to choose from and among these Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa is a standout.
