China’s National Immigration Administration has recently announced a new development in identification for foreign residents during a press conference held in mid-September, the introduction of a new ID card that is expected to improve the experience of its holders and foreign residency in general. Serving as official documentation issued by the government, it will ease the transition of services and acquisition of such things as transportation tickets without having to carry passports.
This also applies to other matters in transportation, as well as in consumption and finance, and may even smoothen the process of accommodation with businesses such as the Pan Pacific Tianjin, or any other luxury hotels in Tianjin for that matter. With these steps taken to improve the daily lives of foreign residents, the government has indirectly boosted the chances of more foreign nationals who are willing to move to the country for work or study.
