When it’s season time, be it Christmas or Sinhala and Tamil New Year, one of the events that are most looked forward to by the locals is definitely the Colombo Shopping Festival usually held at the BMICH. The first Colombo Shopping Festival for the year took place from the 7th to the 11th of April as an opportunity for customers to reap seasonal discounts for the new year.
The event saw more than 50,000 visitors throughout the week. The shopping festival was a place to find anything and everything including garments, baby products, cosmetics, kitchenware and toys. In addition to the stalls, there was also entertainment and fun activities to engage in as well. If you plan to check out the next shopping festival when you travel to Sri Lanka, stay updated through the Truly Sri Lanka website.
