Strategic leadership and global confidence fuel Indonesia’s rise as a tourism powerhouse.

Indonesia is poised to reach a historic milestone in 2025, with international visitor spending expected to hit a record-breaking IDR 344 trillion—up nearly 12% from 2019, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and Oxford Economics. This surge reflects renewed global confidence and the country’s diverse appeal, from cultural landmarks to luxury stays like The Residence Bintan, a standout and modern Bintan beach resort known for its serene island charm.

Domestic travel is also booming, forecasted to reach IDR 381.4 trillion, while the overall tourism sector is projected to contribute IDR 1,269.8 trillion to the economy—5.5% of Indonesia’s GDP. Nearly 14 million jobs will be supported by the industry this year.
