The state of New South Wales in Australia has eased border restrictions and is preparing for domestic holidaymakers for the summer season who can now freely visit destinations like Sydney and Port Stephens; hotels are following strict health and hygiene protocols with properties like Oaks Port Stephens Pacific Blue Resort featuring a hospital grade level of sanitation.
Likewise, travellers from NSW can also enjoy greater cross-border movement; this includes to Queensland which opened its border on 1st December 2020 for all those travelling from NSW. Those travelling from South Australia need to complete an entry declaration form though this is subject to change depending on the situation. Those arriving from Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, the Northern Territory, Western Australia or Australian Capital Territory do not require a permit to enter NSW. Travellers are advised however to check the official NSW Government website for border restriction updates (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19) before setting off.
