The Sinhalese and Tamil New Year 2020 is one of the most celebrated festivals in the Sri Lankan calendar. It is both the start of and the end of the year in both ethnic calendars of the Sinhalese and Tamils in the country.
This year, the new year will be celebrated on the 13th and 14th of April 2020. The 13th celebrates the passing of the old year when the sun journeys from Meena to Mesha also known as Pisces to Aries in the Zodiac.
