The recently concluded 7th annual Bali International Triathlon was a spectacular success with over 1,300 professional and amateur contestants hailing from 31 countries. The Australians dominated the competition, winning first place in both the male and female divisions across the board. The triathlon featured two categories, Olympic and the Sprint. Participants in the Olympic category faced gruelling challenges with a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike ride and a 10km run, while athletes in the Sprint category had to swim 500 metres, bike ride for 20 km and run 5 km.
Travellers looking to catch the action of next year’s event, or perhaps looking for a place to call home while they train should consider renting a villa. Bali TopVilla Rentals offers some of the best villas in Bali, featuring properties all around the island to suite any need and budget.
