Visitors to FIFA World Cup 2022 Buying Real Estate in Dubai – An Added Boost to the UAE

With the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 set to begin this month, football fans are not only looking to be based in Dubai but are buying real estate there too. This was brought to the spotlight on the Khaleej Times news website on 19th September 2022 and was quoting views expressed by real estate experts who revealed that the UAE property market was flourishing; they further added that these property purchases in Dubai were not sudden decisions but rather due to people realising the potential for gaining a long-term and lucrative return on investment.

The FIFA World Cup which will be held from 20th November to 18th December 2022 is expected to benefit the economy of Qatar, the host nation; however, because of the relatively limited accommodation to meet the surge in demand during this period, many football fans are alternatively basing themselves at hotels near Dubai Airport. Such properties include the likes of Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites which provide easy access to the airport from where fans can catch a 75-minute flight to Qatar and watch the games; what’s more, the hotel is also providing a fan zone and will show all the World Cup matches live on large screens and even have a competition with a grand prize of a trip to Qatar to witness the final.
